A best-selling author has shared a wealthy story about how a popular hair loss drug led to the disappearance of the sexual function of his ex-husband and marriage.
Speaking recently in the “Moral Medicine” podcast, Thamka Songkaeo said he realized that they had no loving life to speak while they were still.
His boyfriend then told him it was because he had taken his own, the Finasteride brand, which is commonly used to treat hair loss in men. One of the potential side effects is sexual dysfunction.
At that time, he thought it was only a temporary problem or that it would only be an intermittent problem.

They married and stayed together for seven years, with Songkaeo convincing his ex to take a medicine for erectile dysfunction to improve privacy.
The couple welcomed a daughter, but Songkaeo’s loneliness worsened.
Ultimately, he decided to move away from famous sexual marriage.
Noting that their ex was a wonderful couple outside the bedroom, they remained great friends, and Songkaeo continued to write a novel about their experience, “Stamford Hospital”, which became a best -a number 1 in Amazon Singapore.
Now, he is trying to spread the word not only about how post-finasterid syndrome (PFS) (a condition in which someone experiences severe side effects after they stop using finasteride) but also those they love.
“The depth of the loneliness I felt was to the extent that I myself, myself, being suicide or having suicide thoughts,” said Songkaeo.
“I had to call the suicide line because it was so bad for me, and usually I am a pretty happy person.”
She questions the ethics of distributing a drug that can have such potentially devastating consequences.
“Finasteride has the ability to dissolve a person so much that it becomes dominoes … There is so much destruction around them, and it feels like unnecessary destruction,” he said.
Songkaeo was interviewed by the host of the Podcast Mark Millich, who made headlines early in the year, telling the Wall Street Journal that he experienced weakening side effects after buying Finasteride.
Some of its side effects included anxiety, dizziness and rampant speech. His sexual driving also fell and his genitals declined and changed in shape.
Millich previously interviewed a 28 -year -old man who reported a roller coaster of side effects due to PFS, including sexual dysfunction, insomnia, serious weight and muscle loss, skin eruptions and pelvic pain.
“Every month, I feel there is a new side effect,” the man said. “Has really changed my life completely.”
In April, the United States Food and Drug Administration issued a warning about topical finasterid products distributed by Telehealth companies, citing several reports of adverse events such as erectile dysfunction, anxiety, suicidal ideation, brain mist, depression, fatigue, insomnia, decrease in libido and testicular pain.
